Walk & Talk Trail — Volunteer Simulation Event

Join us for a special Walk & Talk Trail Volunteer Simulation, where you’ll step into the experience we’ll later bring to community members across Southwest Florida. This interactive session will help us refine, strengthen, and elevate our Walk & Talk events—designed to address loneliness, depression, and social isolation through simple, meaningful connection.

This simulation walk allows volunteers to experience the full flow of our upcoming community Walk & Talk events. Together, we will:

• Begin as a group at the playground
• Walk through a designated route around Gulf Coast Town Center
• Pair up into “buddy teams”
• Use provided question prompts to spark conversation and connection
• Return to the starting point and end as a group

After the walk, volunteers will be invited to share feedback, insights, and ideas to help us ensure our Walk & Talk events are as supportive, welcoming, and impactful as possible.

Loneliness and depression are real challenges for many people in our community. Our Walk & Talk events offer a simple, accessible way to:

• Connect neighbors
• Support emotional wellbeing
• Break down social barriers
• Encourage movement, conversation, and compassion
