The Pleasant Hill UMC Sanctuary will be the location of the memorial service for William David (Freebird) Freeman, led by Rick Furr, at noon on August 30.
The Family will receive friends in the Pleasant Hill Family Life Center starting at 11 a.m.

William David Freeman, lovingly known as “Freebird,” passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2025, at the age of 58.
Born on January 30, 1967, David was the son of Charles Richard (Lynne) Freeman and Janice P. Freeman. He grew up in Indian Land, where his love for adventure first took root, and he carried that free spirit throughout his life.
David was a devoted father to his son, Brodie Freeman, and his daughter, Sidney (Corley) Faulkenberry. His children were his greatest pride and joy, and he cherished every moment he had with them.
Known for his quick wit and big laugh, David was always joking around and had a way of lighting up every room he entered. He was the life of the party, a natural storyteller, and fiercely loyal to the people closest to him. He had a true passion for motorcycles, enjoyed riding horses, and loved nothing more than spending time with his friends and family.
David will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty, and living life full of purpose. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents; his beloved children; his sister, Wendy (Ray) Ashley, and their children Justin, Raegan, and Carson; his brother, Brad Freeman, and his son Zeb; and his brother, Tyler Freeman, and his children Avery, Mason, and Jax.
The family will receive and welcome friends on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 238 Fort Mill Hwy, Fort Mill, SC 29707, with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 pm.
