Inclusivity Workshop: Celebrate Ally Week!

Celebrate Ally Week with us! Join Wood Buffalo Pride for a Community Inclusivity Workshop tailored to supporting our allies and building allyship within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. These workshops build on knowledge, self-reflection skills, and practical tools.

Who is this workshop for?

• Allies at any stage of their learning journey.
• Any members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community looking to increase their understanding of sexual orientation and gender diversity, best practices for inclusivity and accessibility, and resources for supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ community in the RMWB.
• Any staff members at our current Rainbow Spaces who have not yet taken our training, or any staff member who would like a refresher!

Where: In the Conference Room at the Redpoll Centre, SMS Equipment Place, 1 C.A. Knight Way

Schedule:

10am-12:30pm Part 1

12:30-1:30pm Lunch Break - You can add on lunch catering to your ticket price, or please feel free to bring your lunch or step out for lunch

1:30-4:00pm Part 2

Registration is free with the option to make a donation.

All donations go toward Wood Buffalo Pride and are invested back into community programs and events.

All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation and a workbook to take home.

Wood Buffalo Pride acknowledges that the land we occupy is nistawâyâw, within Treaty 8, the traditional territory of the Cree, Dene and the Métis people. We recognize and honour all the Indigenous people, especially Two Spirit people, who have stewarded this land for time immemorial prior to first contact, and who continue to resist oppressive colonial definitions of sexuality and gender to this day.
