Darby Havrelock (she/they) is traditionally from Treaty 6 territory and is a member of Saddle Lake Cree Nation with mixed European lineage. She is primarily an acrylic artist who paints to celebrate, acknowledge and deeply reconnect to her Cree heritage and ancestors. Her artwork has a focus on the Buffalo, painting them to call their spirits home, as well as drawing the parallels of the shared resilience and resistance between the Bison and First Nations Peoples.
