7th Annual Exceptional Educator Training Program - Sept. 12th!
We are pleased to announce our upcoming 7th annual Exceptional Educator Training Program, a special training event for educators working with students who have Down syndrome. The Broward Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization, the Down Syndrome Committee of Broward ESE Advisory, and the Broward County School District-ESE Department are teaming up with the Family Network on Disabilities to present a comprehensive, all-day training program.
This Exceptional Educator Training is designed to equip school staff with practical strategies and solutions to better support students with Down syndrome. All educators and staff members who work with these students are invited to participate. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion, and principals will coordinate substitute coverage for classrooms. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be served.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to communicate with their children’s teachers when school resumes on August 11th and to share this opportunity with principals, teachers, therapists, and support staff. If your child no longer attends school, you may disregard this message or share it within your community.
