History of Southern Colorado

Journey through the rich heritage of Southern Colorado, guided by local experts, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 pm.

In partnership with the San Luis Valley Ecosystem Council, the Fort Garland Museum and Cultural Center will host a panel discussion:
* Eric Carpio, Chief Community Museum Officer and Director of Fort Garland Museum and Cultural Center
* Ruth Horn, Executive Director of SLV AHEC/SLV American Indian Center
* Charles "Nick" Saenz, Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs

Snacks and drinks will be provided.
