Being Safe in Nature

Eek! Is that snake venomous? What does poison ivy look like again? Is that a wasp's nest? And did I just see a fox crossing my yard? There are many things in nature that startle us or cause anxiety at the mere mention of it, but there are also so many wonderful things to enjoy as well. Come down to the Discovery Center and equip yourself with the knowledge of how to live around nature’s less pleasant surprises - you might find that they’re less intimidating than you once believed.

Join us on Saturday, March 7th at 11 AM and 2 PM for our 'Being Safe in Nature' program at the Discovery Center in Newport News Park.
