Our Progressives Lessons continue!
This series will start on October 8th and will run to October 29th. We will have an Introduction to Lindy class from 6:00 to 7:00 and an Introduction to Balboa from 7:00 to 8:00.
We are very excited to have Sarah and Neil back as instructors and Ron and Kali will be teaching the Balboa class.
Also, we would like to mention that our first ever Balboa Brunch will be taking place on Sunday October 12th. These classes are the perfect way to get ready for that amazing event.
Beginners are welcome for the introduction class and no partner is ever needed.
If you are on the fence jump off that fence and help us with our primary mission which is to build a dance community that is focused on sharing the joy and benefits of dance here in Northern Colorado.
Also, please, please, please mention us to your friends. We have found that word of mouth is the best way to get the message out that Fort Collins is a swinging town.
Because this is a four-week series, we will be charging $40 for one progressive series. That averages out to about $10 a class! If you have already taken the introduction to Lindy class, we encourage dancers to take it again or take it many times for that matter for 1/2 price.
We take Venmo (@NoCo-SwingDance ) or cash or check on or before the first night of the class. Please arrive early so we can get you checked in. Also, if you know you will be attending, please email us so we can get a head count at

6pm - Introduction to Lindy with Neil and Sarah.
This class introduces you to the foundational footwork, playful moves, and joyful energy of the iconic dance Lindy Hop. Dance away to vintage jazz tunes as our experienced instructors guide you through partner connection and basic patterns. Lindy 1 is for people hoping to dance for the first time and those who have some beginner lessons under their belt and wish to take their dancing to the next level. 7pm - Introduction to Balboa - Come shuffle with Ron and Kali
Introduction to Balboa is a progressive four-week class that will be geared towards dancers that would like to branch out beyond East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop and Charleston. Balboa is a close embrace dance that is typically danced to faster tempo music and provides leads and follows the opportunity to do a lot with minimal effort. We will begin the class by focusing on basic Balboa footwork and close embrace connection. Next, we will introduce some basic Pure Bal moves and then we will introduce the concept of Bal Swing including Lollies and different variations of Balboa Toss Outs. We will also focus on good lead follow connection and the goosh feeling of Balboa.
Feel free to park in the back lot/bank parking - after 6pm is FREE.
We ask that you wear light color sole shoes (or dance in socks) to protect this historic floor.
Please do not show if you are feeling ill since this is a social and partner dance. We do not require that you are vaccinated but it is highly recommended.
Please remember that NoCo Swing Dance is a very beginner friendly community, and we love new dancers.
No partner is ever needed.
