Contra-Rueda Crossover!

(Trying this again since not enough people could make the December contra dance)

We have been invited to do a rueda demonstration at the bi-weekly Fort Collins Contra Dance! If you have never done contra, it is a partner-switching dance very similar to rueda, except that it is done to live, Irish-folk music and is MUCH easier to learn.

If enough of us are interested and can commit (please RSVP!), then on February 7 we can attend for free (though I suggest a donation if you can).

We will need to attend the contra lesson at 6:15. They will then do an hour or so of contras and take a break.

During the break, Donal will give a short description of what rueda is and we'll dance a rueda for them. We are then welcome to stay for the rest of the evening.

I think this will be an excellent cross-pollination between our two dance communities, and may result in some more members for us! At the very least, contra is super fun, so I guarantee a good time :)
