In the context of the release of her album Hymnos (moli del tro Records, 12.09.2025), Claudia Radulescu will present her work in a performative form, together with collaborators from the project.
A sound installation initiated in 1999 by Claudia Radulescu, Hymnos is a fictional, evolving and collective anthem, a permanent expendable work, open to all. Gifted to the city of Bastogne as a vinyl release for the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge (12.09.2025), this album brings together the original recordings and new interpretations by musicians connected to moli del tro and local residents.
A new version will be performed live by the artist, Dorothy Gale, Merzedes Sturm-Lie and Mr Clarinet.
𝐃𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐞
Dorothy Gale, soon to become Judy Vendredi, is a Brussels-based artist and singer who creates a musical universe by blending enchanting stories sung with a pop voice with poignant elements of punk and lyricism. She also performs in the experimental electronic duo Antoinette². In Hymnos, she lends her voice to the chants of carnival processions.
𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐳𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐦-𝐋𝐢𝐞
is Swedish/Norwegian multimedia artist who lives and works in Brussels. Her work explores dynamics of resilience investigating current and historical notions of voice originating from the fields of musicology, medical science, and activism. She’s interested in how these ideas manifest and co-exist as possible agents of empowerment, in an interplay of emotion and reason. Her work has been shown in several exhibitions in, amongst others, Sweden, Belgium, Japan, Brazil and Russia.
𝐌𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐭
Obscure avant-gardist Mr. Clarinet follows the sound of life as an endless route to music. Around a distorted environment the proclamation of realistically playing with the boundaries is a fake statement but still a constant joy to surrender. 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮
lives and works in Brussels. Her practice spans drawing, film, photography, music, performance, and installation. Exploring ‘us’ as instinctive and desiring beings, she invites the audience to step into their own role as observers and explorers of imagination within a shared social world.
