stilluppsteypa is an icelandic experimental electronic group based in reykjavík.
formed as a trio in the early 1990s, the group became a duo in 2002 and has since continued exploring abstract sound and collage-based composition. their work spans multi-layered, often humorous experiments with electronics, tape, voice, and texture. with the duo's latest release on futura resistenza, schokolino choco loco, continues their exploration of chaotic structures and dense sonic layering.
