After a long Winter’s rest, often the first plants to return are wild weeds. What we refer to as ‘weeds,’ actually play a crucial role in nature by contributing to the regeneration of the soil following a cold, dormant season. These common medicinal plants, who are frequently overlooked or recognized as a nuisance, are also powerful health allies for ourselves as we awaken into Spring.
Packed full of vitamins and minerals, many Spring weeds provide actions that help our bodies detox, reduce inflammation and enhance energy through an increasingly active season.
Guests will join a guided plant walk, learning about the medicinal actions of each plant while gaining confidence to identify, harvest and prepare various culinary and medicinal recipes. After foraging wild plants from the garden, together we will blend a nutrient dense superfood pesto.
Celebrate the return of Spring and honor the abundance of edible wild food and medicine just outside our doors!
