Never before in most of our life time has there been a need to use our voices for the sake of peace and unity.
Peace One Day was set up to allow aid to be allowed through to people in need and for Peace talks to take place but despite it being recognised by UN it has gone unmarked for over a decade.
I, alongside Jack Pound and others, have been proactive in Peace One Day events and we thought we should bring it back as in the midst of the darkness music, poetry and other expressive art forms have kept the human spirit burning and where there is unity and passion there is Hope.
Folkestone Songwriting Festival is proud to be hosting this special Peace One Day Open Stage and invite you all to share a song or a poem, dance or a reading of peace and protest ( with the emphasis on Peace).
Our resident Folkestone troubadour Jack Pound will be our guest compere.
p.a provided and please if you want to perform show up to put your name down before the 3pm start.
We hope to fit you all in and aim for 2 songs each so please be mindful of the length of your tunes etc 🎵🙏🎵.

Free entry with a pass the hat donation ( min suggestion of £5 to cover costs).
