Gentle Steps, Shared Stories, and a Moment to Breathe
In partnership with Baton of Hope UK, Care Anchor Kent CIC is proud to take part in the
national Wellbeing Day for Suicide Prevention in Care Givers. This event is designed
especially for unpaid and paid carers who give so much โ€” often at the cost of their own wellbeing.

This is more than just a walk. Itโ€™s a space to pause, connect, reflect, and feel supported.

๐ŸŒผ What to Expect:
โ€โ™€๏ธ A mindful walk through Radnor Park led by local fitness trainer, Marketa Patelova (Moving
with Marky)
๐ŸŽจ Pebble Painting โ€“ leave a message of hope or remembrance
๐Ÿ“ Optional Book Contribution โ€“ โ€œI Just Wanted You To Knowโ€ฆโ€, a Baton of Hope UK
publication
๐ŸŽค Guest Speaker โ€“ Wellness coach Claire Wallis (Positively You Coaching & Counselling
Services)
๏ธ Lunch Provided at St Johnโ€™s Church Hall

๐Ÿง˜ Relaxation Session led by Matthew Bates (Matthew Bates Hypnotherapy)

๐ŸŽถ Live Music from Care Anchor founder Carmella Martin

Why It Matters
โ— 71% of unpaid carers report poor mental or physical health
โ— 1 in 3 has considered suicide due to the emotional and financial toll

This event is here to say: Youโ€™re not alone. You deserve care, too.

๐Ÿ“– About the Book: โ€œI Just Wanted You To Knowโ€ฆโ€
This upcoming publication by Baton of Hope UK will be a collection of messages, reflections,
and words left unsaid for those lost to suicide.
You are welcome to contribute โ€” poems, prayers, short notes โ€” anonymous or signed, as you
feel comfortable.
Itโ€™s not a memorial. Itโ€™s a book of hope, healing, and honouring voices that matter.

๐Ÿงก Whether you are a carer, have lost someone to suicide, or simply want to show supportโ€”you are welcome.

Letโ€™s walk together, talk openly, and carry hope forward.
๐Ÿ“ RSVP by 9th September. To Diane Tanner 07735 534004 or email c2VjcmV0YXJ5ICEgY2FyZWFuY2hvcmtlbnRjaWMgfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ==

We look forward to sharing this special day with you.
Because carers matter. Your mental health matters. You matter.
