Florissant Fossil Bed field trip

We will explore the exhibits in the Visitor Center, which include a collection of delicate insect, leaf, and fish fossils.

Additionally, we will tour the massive petrified tree stumps located in the outdoor exhibit area behind the Visitor Center. There's also the option to walk along the 1-mile and ½-mile self-guided interpretive trails.

Students can take part in the Junior Ranger program, a free activity for kids. By completing the activities in the Junior Ranger Book, they can earn a badge!

Lastly, we will conclude our visit with a picnic in the picnic area at the Visitor Center.
