Meander through our working sheep farm and experience what takes place on a daily basis in order to care, and manage for our flock. Watch in amazement at the intelligence of our border collies as they herd sheep. Try your hand at hand cranking the shearing machine as we shear sheep. Learn the 20,000 year old art of spinning wool into yarn with spinning demos.
See how lavender is processed into handmade products for purchase. Enjoy a children’s take home craft, a farm scavenger hunt, take a hay ride out to the pasture to watch the sheep grazing. Stroll through our cedar grove on a nature walk to the farm’s overlook, and learn where and how fence posts come from. There will be a visitor make & take lavender gift available for $5.00.
Many diverse Vermont arts & crafts vendors will be returning this year, as well as, many new vendors with a huge variety of their goods for purchase! There will be a food truck on site, as well as, a few food vendors selling their specialty goodies!
Look for the events sign at the entrance of the farm, with time and location of events on the farm, so you don’t miss any of our exciting adventures!
*Service animals are welcome! While we love pets, we ask that you please refrain from bringing them to this event, as it will interfere with sheep herding and shearing demos. Thank you!
