Interactive Culinary Luncheon This hands-on workshop combines sustainable cooking and food preservation education with an interactive edible experience. Enjoy learning skills like sourdough care and cheese making then sit in fellowship with other like minded participants to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Safe Food Practice Skills

• Food-safe techniques for using fresh herbs and seasonal produce
• Methods to prevent food waste in your kitchen
• Proper herb storage and cutting techniques

Sourdough

• Create sourdough discard biscuits
• Overview of traditional bread-making techniques
• Master caring for sourdough starter

Farmer’s Cheese Making

• Craft fresh farmer's cheese from scratch
• Learn herb infusion techniques for tasty, flavored cheese
• Receive food safety instruction for homemade dairy products

Herb Based Raw Dishes

• Learn easy techniques to use herbs, including Asian-style fresh rolls
• Learn pesto making techniques

Garden Tour

• Guided tour of the herb and vegetable gardens with tips on productive herb gardening
• Hands-on harvesting experience
• Learn to make fresh pesto from garden herbs

After you have had a hands-on experience creating your fare, enjoy a family-style luncheon featuring dishes you helped prepare:

Main Course

• Sourdough biscuits with herby cheese spread
• Garden-fresh pesto pasta salad with harvested herbs
• Herby fresh rolls with house-made dipping sauce

Dessert & Beverages

• Herb-infused berry compote with cream
• Beverage station: herb-infused waters, lemonade, and artisanal syrups

Take-Home Items

• Jar of sourdough starter with care instructions and recipes
• Farmer’s cheese
• Seed starting packet
• Comprehensive recipe and resource packet

What to Wear (Required for Food Safety)

• Closed-toe shoes (mandatory - no sandals or open-toe footwear)
• Hair secured with ponytail holder, bandanna, or hat
• Comfortable clothing you don't mind getting a little messy, and an apron if you have one.

This 4-hour experience combines hands-on learning with relaxed dining in a farm setting. You'll work with your hands, learn from experienced instructors, and enjoy the fruits of your labor in a beautifully decorated dining space. The pace is leisurely, allowing time to ask questions and fully engage with each activity.
