What: a Bal lesson from 11:15-12ish (we keep it casual) followed by munchin' and brunchin'
THIS IS A FREE EVENT. All we ask is that you bring a bev or bite to share.
What is Balboa, you ask? It's a type of swing dance that emerged in Southern California during the early 1930s as a response to the swing jazz music popular at the time. It gets its name from the Balboa peninsula in Newport Beach, CA. It is an upright, shuffle-y dance that emphasizes connection and footwork, and can be integrated into (and improve!) your lindy hop.
Our dance deck is small, making it perfect for perfecting your Bal (we can pretend we're in an over-packed 1940s ballroom).
PARKING: Ample street parking is available along Pine Street. As inviting as it may be, the church across the street from us does not like non-churchgoers parking in their lot.
