Buckham Gallery kicks off its 42nd Season on October 10, 2025 during Flint’s ARTWALK with three concurrent exhibitions featuring Heidi Jensen, Craig V Fisher, and a national juried group show, Secret Spaces!
Heidi Jensen - Landlooker
Heidi Jensen’s practice begins with and returns to drawing, and expands into puppets, printmaking and soft sculpture. She earned her MFA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a BFA from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Her current project, Landlooker, explores the history, labor culture and ecological impact of logging. This project includes a video, the puppets, props and drawn backdrops used in the video, and a series of drawings.
Craig V Fisher - CONJUNCTIONS: space-time & scale in intaglio
Craig Fisher is a printmaker/painter living and working in Northwest Ohio. He received a BA in Fine arts at the University of Toledo after a year of study in the Netherlands. His keen interest in the “monumental,” the pillared icon, and the undiscovered remnant are inspired by a lifelong interest in world cultures and the natural sciences providing rich and potentially challenging content for his imagery.
Secret Spaces - national juried
Secret Spaces, a nationally juried exhibition exploring hidden realms. Secret spaces can be physical locations to rejuvenate, heal, hide, or to share intimate moments. They can also be a place in the heart where desire hides, a place in the mind where you keep someone or the dark parts of memory, a place where ideas and visions reside.
“Gradually it was dawning on me that deceptions were necessary to carve out secret space in a small and crowded culture.” - from “Night Blind,” by Jan Worth, iUniverse Press, 2006
