2026 Great Ogeechee Squirrel Tournament
The Largest Grey Squirrel Hunt of the Coastal Empire

Tournament Overview
Join us for a competitive day of hunting and community. This event is open to teams of up to four hunters (adult and youth combined teams are welcome). All hunting must occur on the day of the event on legal Georgia lands (public or private) using any legal harvest method.

Sponsorship Deadline: February 1, 2026 ($250)
Registration Deadline: February 7, 2026 ($400 per team)
All-In Entry (Tournament + Calcutta): $500
Note: $50 of the entry fee covers a BBQ dinner for the team at the weigh-in.
To register, the Team Captain must contact the Tournament Director by February 7 to provide teammate names, sign waivers, and arrange cash payment.
Scoring & Rules
Target Species: Eastern Gray Squirrels only (No Fox Squirrels).
Scoring: Winners are determined by the total weight of a 15-Eastern Grey squirrel limit per team.
Payouts: 100% payout for 1st through 4th place. (5th place will be added if the field exceeds 30 teams).
Calcutta (Optional): $100 entry for the "Heaviest Single Eastern Gray Squirrel."
Tie-Breaker: Any ties will be resolved via a Ryder BB gun paper plate challenge.
Weather Policy: In the event of severe wet weather, the hunt will be rescheduled for Sunday, February 22.
Any participants under 16 can hunt with the team at no extra cost but must be on waiver.
Strict Condition: "No Wet Squirrels"
There is a zero-tolerance policy for wet or mutilated squirrels. Any team presenting wet squirrels will be immediately disqualified—no exceptions.
Weigh-In & Event Schedule
Location: To be confirmed upon registration.
Weigh-In Starts: 5:30 PM
Cutoff Time: 6:30 PM (Late arrivals will be penalized 0.5 lbs per minute).
Dinner & Awards: BBQ dinner will be served during the weigh-in process.
Raffle: A gun and cooler raffle will be held following dinner. Tickets will be available for purchase at the start of the weigh-in.
Safety & Compliance
All participants are required to follow Georgia hunting laws and maintain the highest standards of safety and sportsmanship. Respect for the outdoors and local land is mandatory.
