𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗵𝘂𝗴𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱.
Fleetwood Museum Trust and Healthier Fleetwood invite you to their annual FREE beach craft event. Following on from pirate ships, mermaids and a tribute to the RNLI in 2025, this year's theme is The Kracken!
This mythical beast has never been seen in Fleetwood before ... as far as we know ... do you dare to unleash it from the sea?
Join the volunteers on the beach, behind Marine Hall and the YMCA Sports Centre. There's no need to book, just turn up and have fun!
Suitable for all ages - younger children should be accompanied by parent/carer.
Equipment will be provided.
Please wear suitable clothing/footwear and wear sun protection for the beach and the weather conditions on the day.
The event will be photographed and filmed by drone to be shared on social media. If you do not wish to be included, please let a volunteer know on the day.

Parking is available close to the event location in car parks and on The Esplanade. In all cases please be aware of any designated spaces for disabled drivers, emergency vehicle access and remain within the designated bays.
If possible please use public transport for your journey to Fleetwood. The event location is approximately 10 minutes walk from the Fleetwood Ferry tram and bus terminal. Archway Travel bus no. 74 passes the location along The Esplanade - see the information at

Cafes and kiosks are available close by for drinks and snacks or why not have a picnic on the beach? Please leave the beach clean and tidy after your visit.
Public toilets are available close to the event, to the side of Marine Hall - there is a cost for access.
Fleetwood Beach Wheelchairs offer a range of chairs and equipment to support access to the beach. They are located approx. 100m from the event location. See their website for info:
