How does it work?
Eight races are shown across the evening.
You can become an owner by "buying" a horse in races 1-7 as part of the ticketing process, there's a bottle of bubbly for the winning owner.
There will be an auction on the night for ownership of the 8 horses in the final race with a cash prize.
You can place a bet at the tote on one, or more, of the eight horses in each race.
Bets are made in multiples of £1 and can be made by cash, card or contactless payment.
When betting closes, the computerised system randomly selects the winning horse for each race.
The race is shown and the winners collect their pay-outs in cash and the winning "owner" their prize.
Money taken through the tote is split between pay-outs and fundraising for SSDS.
