Recruitment and Retention in the Monadnock Region

The world needs more firefighters. The Monadnock Region needs more firefighters. As a result, recruitment and retention are among the most important topics being discussed in the fire service, especially among volunteer and on-call departments. Kimberly McCulloch, a freelance recruiter and sole propriety of Elevating Organizations, will be at The Drill Yard this month to present strategies and solutions for bolstering department membership to meet current and future demands. These strategies and solutions will focus on traditional and innovative methods. Kimberly previously served as the recruitment and retention coordinator at N.H. Fire Standards and Training and Emergency Medical Services. She is a member of the USFA Recruitment & Retention Work Group, and she acts as a consultant for a New Hampshire volunteer fire department.
