Position definitions per the Eastwood Constitution:
Vice President:
The Vice President shall assume the duties of the President during his absence. In the absence of both President and Vice President at any meetings of the Club, e temporary chairman shall be nominated and elected by the members present.
The Vice President shall also be a member ex-officio* of all committees.
The Vice President shall serve as Chairman of the “Memorial Committee” and should he not be available, an elected officer of the governing body shall assume this responsibility
Treasurer:
The Treasurer shall attend board meetings.
The Treasurer shall maintain correct computer records of the monetary affairs of the Club.
The Treasurer shall collect all money due to the Club and will have books and records available for examination at any time by Charter members.
The Treasurer shall make a detailed financial statement at the monthly meetings covering receipts and expenditures of all monies of the Club. If the current expenses of the Club exceed its current income or impair its reserves, the Treasurer is obliged to call this fact to the attention of the membership.
The Treasurer shall pay the bills of the Club.
The Treasurer shall receive payment as determined by the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors shall have the following powers, subject to an appeal of the Club:
The Board of Directors shall have control of all time deposits, investments and property of the Club, real and personal.
The Board of Directors shall have charge of club property and setting of fees.
The Board of Directors shall make all necessary contracts for the general running expenses of the Club, to include the repair, maintenance and replacement of all equipment, property and fixtures.
All other matters pertaining to expenditures of the Club, approved by the Board of Directors, shall be brought before the membership for ratification**.
The Board of Directors shall elect its own Chairman each year.
The Chairman will schedule monthly meetings of the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors will have supervisory and management responsibility for the Club Manager and Assistant Manager.
Eligibility to Vote and Hold Office
Charter members of the Club may vote at elections and hold office and Social members may vote at monthly meetings.
Employees of the Eastwood Club Inc. shall not be permitted to hold elective office.
The Secretary and the Treasurer shall not be construed as permanent employees by virtue of salaries received for the duties of those offices.
No person shall hold more than one office at a time.
An election official may not seek a vacant uncompleted term of office without resigning from his present office upon acceptance of his nomination.
All members accepted must be a Social Member for a period of six (6) months before being eligible for Charter membership.
