Uncorked Stories at Fircrest Bottle Shop happens every other Thursday starting at 7:00 p.m. It's part open mic, part community bonding.
The suggested theme this time will be DOORWAYS, literal or figurative or somewhere in-between:
- a time you walked out the door, got your foot in the door, kept the wolf from the door, went in the out-door, or had an open-door policy
- someone who darkened your doorway, actually let the door hit them on the way out, kicked an open door, or didn't answer the door
- what happened behind closed doors, when you checked your ego at the door, or when someone closed the barn door after the horse had escaped
- a time you stood on a threshold
- a key that opened the door
There are so many ways to interpret the idea of doorways, but that should get your wheels turning. Everyone has a story about doorways in one sense or another!
(Looking ahead, the theme for Dec 18 will be Light and Dark.)
Come a little early to grab a drink and a snack, then settle in to listen to some tales from your neighbors -- or tell one of your own! Afterwards we'll chat about the stories and the theme and connect with others in our community.
