Here it is! This may be one of the most unusual and creative car events you attend this year! Our vision is to create a very nostalgic day at the drag races with Hot Rods, Cruising, Drag Racing and Spectating. This will be a show-n-go type outing that is for everyone not just the racers. We will start with a meet-up at Texas Best Smokehouse in Midlothian and then cruise as a group to the track. Drivers and Trailers are all welcome on the cruise.
With over 1,900 members, have you ever wondered who has the quickest street-car in the group? We are going to find out! We will arrive at the track during an open Test-N-Tune. If you have never been down the drag strip before, what are you waiting for? This is your opportunity! This will cater to beginners and veterans alike. Race your friends in a controlled legal environment. Burnouts during this event are strongly encouraged! Literally run whatcha brung. Your car does not need to be fast to have fun going down the dragstrip! Just want to spectate? You can do that too! Those who want to run their cars can make unlimited passes (as time allows). At the end of the time window, you will turn in your fastest time slip, and someone will be crowned the fastest member of South DFW Car Fanatics!
This year all classes will be based on the tire! You must sign in and pass tech to enter. Your assigned class will be determined during tech and you will be entered into the computer for scoring. Fastest slip in each class at the end of the night is the winner. No eliminations. All cars will be teched, and winners will be teched twice.
Drag Racing Rules: All rules will be strictly enforced.
1. Must follow all track rules and procedures.
2. Must adhere to all track safety requirements.
3. TO BE ELIGIBLE TO WIN: You must be a member of South DFW Car Fanatics Facebook group before the event! (no onsite registrations)
4. Cars will be divided into three classes. Awards will be given for each class.
a. “Vintage Hard Tire” – Door cars 1980 and older only. Must run a period correct, powerplant! No LS, Coyote swaps, Etc. All cars must be street legal and run a factory style, true street tire in a factory sized wheel well. Examples: Cooper Cobras, BFG radial TA's, etc. NO DRAG RADIALS or slicks whatsoever. If you have to question if your tire is legal, it probably isn't. Exhaust past the door is required.
b. “DOT” – Door cars only. You must be able to show the DOT stamp on your tire at tech, and if you win.
c. "Slick" - Door cars only. No tire rules.
5. Pit Pass admission is $15 per person and an additional $20 if you want to run your car.

Meet at Texas Best Smokehouse at 2220 Plainview Rd Midlothian, TX 76055 @ 2:00 PM on Sunday October 19th.
Depart for the racetrack at Xtreme Raceway Park 1800 S Interstate 45 Service Rd. Ferris, TX 75125 at 2:30 PM
Gates at Xtreme Raceway open at 3:00 PM (open time trials)
End of our Time Trials at 7:30ish PM
