From the creators of PARASOL Pool Parties comes the one-night return of Q.
In the late ’90s and early 2000s, where Orchid Theatre stands now was home to Q Night Club — the premier spot for Metro Detroit’s LGBTQ+ community to gather, dance, and celebrate. Those nights helped define queer nightlife in the region, giving people a place to connect and shine.
This summer, we got a taste of that spirit with Pride Pa•TEA•O and Pa•TEA•O After Dark at Orchid Theatre, kicking off Pride month in Ferndale with unforgettable sets from Detroit Techno legend Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale and a stacked lineup of DJs including SamuelKO, Gaby Hemlok, and Darryl G.
Now, for one night only, that energy comes roaring back. On Friday, September 26, just after the Fall Solstice, Q takes over Orchid Theatre for a night of queer joy, music, and community.
Headlining this special event: Nicky Siano — original resident DJ at Studio 54 and founder of The Gallery, where he helped define modern club culture. He’ll be joined by Detroit favorites Darryl G and SAMUEL K.O., plus drag personalities, gogo performers, and surprises all night long.
Expect disco classics, modern hits, and fresh mixes — the high-energy soundtrack you’ll sing to, dance to, and carry with you into the morning.
With Orchid Theatre’s premier sound, lights, and video systems, the experience will be immersive, electric, and unforgettable.
