The Zombie Fun Run is an annual, FREE, fun run for community members of all ages, brought to you by the City’s Parks, Recreation, and Trails Advisory Board!
On Saturday, October 11, 2025, unleash your inner survivor and join us for Ferndale’s 3rd Annual Zombie Fun Run!
It is sure to be a thrilling adventure that is open to EVERYONE – whether you’re a seasoned pro, new to the track, a dedicated jogger, a leisurely walker, or a zombie shuffler.

LOCATION: Register, Start, and Finish at Pioneer Pavilion Community Center (2007 Cherry St., Ferndale)

KIDS’ SHUFFLE: 9:45 a.m.
ZOMBIE FUN RUN: 10:00 a.m.
The course will begin at Pioneer Pavilion Community Center, leading participants past Metalworks Skate Park to the Hanadori Trail, around the P66 Sports Complex, through Pioneer Village, and back to the Pavilion. This year, Zombie Fun Run participants can choose their own adventure: 1 lap, 2 laps, or 3 laps for a full 5K.
If you’re feeling a bit undead yourself, there’s a unique opportunity to register as a zombie and join the horde!
On the registration form, please indicate whether you would like to participate as a runner or a volunteer zombie. All volunteers must register by Friday, October 3, 2025. Volunteers will be sent a separate email on Friday, October 3rd with volunteer instructions. Volunteers should plan on being at the event from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in zombie attire. Zombies will NOT be allowed to make physical contact with runners and are not meant to “chase,” but to “shuffle.” This is a FUN RUN!
