Tornado BAD.
God’s Still GOOD!
We have been so blessed for the community support we have received since the EF4 tornado that decimated our worship space on May 16th. Unfortunately, the building that just weeks before had hosted memorial services, baptism celebrations, AA meetings, potlucks, joyful worship services, game nights, food pantry collections, and so much more has been declared a total loss.
Rebuild bids have been coming in around $1.2 million and our insurance policy only covers up to $865,000. To make matters worse, we have had to retain an attorney to aid us in hopefully securing more than the $261,000 settlement offered by the insurance company thus far.
Ferguson Baptist Church has graciously opened their doors to us for the evening of Saturday, September 20th to host this much anticipated dinner and auction event. Be sure to follow the posts in the Discussion tab to see some of the incredible items on the auction list!
Silent auction begins at 5:30 pm, then we will proceed to the live auction at 7:00 pm. The auction will be presided by Ford Brothers.
Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance so we can ensure enough delicious and soul-warming food for all. Tickets may be picked up at Dr. Sandy's office (The Lung & Sleep Disorder Institute at 46 Turpin Court in Somerset just adjacent to Kentucky Breast Care) or purchased at the link below:
