Lake Region Arts Council is thrilled to announce the Artist Mentorship Program (AMP) Showcase, happening Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00–11:30 AM at A Center for the Arts, 124 West Lincoln Avenue, Fergus Falls, MN.
This inspiring event celebrates the achievements of talented high school students who have participated in LRAC’s unique Artist Mentorship Program. A limited number of students, currently in grades 8–12, were selected for this opportunity and paired with professional artists from across the region. Together, they worked closely to strengthen their skills, explore new ideas, and grow as emerging artists. Awards were made based on commitment and potential for artistic development.
2025 AMP Student Artists:
Andelys Berberi, Kendal Fischer, Isaac Garcia, Adelia Hagel, Tori Hovelsrud, Wyatt Laux, Jennie Odello, Alexis Pekarek, Mattea Pevestorf, Anna Poorna Rajesh, Kadence Robinson, Anne Schneider, Kendall Sundby, Yavonne VanHorn, and Louis Wahl.
2025 AMP Mentors:
Danelle Hubert, Suz Svare, Ann DuHamel, Alyssa Ohman, Jessica Matson-Fluto, Dr. Danielle Gravon, Trudy Stubson, Siobhan Bremer, Simon Tillier, Chuck Christianson, Akshyashree Chinnakonda, Blayze Buseth, Kiley Busko, Jason Ramey, and Edith Trygstad Kerzman.
The program was open to all artistic mediums—including visual arts, dance, creative writing, drama, music, design, and media arts—and welcomed students from public, private, and home schools across LRAC’s nine-county region: Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse, and Wilkin.
“AMP gives young artists not only the chance to develop their technical and creative skills, but also to form lasting connections with mentors who guide and inspire them,” says Naomi Schliesman, Program Manager. “We are so proud of the students’ growth and excited to share their work with the community.”
Lake Region Arts Council extends heartfelt gratitude to the mentors, whose dedication and passion made this program possible, and to the McKnight Foundation, whose generous support continues to enhance the lives of young artists in our region.
The AMP Showcase is free and open to the public. All are invited to attend and celebrate the next generation of creative voices.
