Lake Fenton offers a challenging course with the use of a figure 8 course depending on the wind direction. This has always been a fun regatta with a good group of sailors.
Racing
· The regatta is open to all C Scows
· The regatta will consist of a full day of racing on Saturday the 143h, followed by two possible races on Sunday the 14th.
· Saturday racing will start at 10:30 AM weather permitting.
· There will be skipper’s meeting at 9:30AM.
· Registration is possible either Friday from 5-8PM or Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30
· The Sunday start time will be announced at the end of racing on Saturday.
· On Sunday, no race will start later than noon.
Cost
· The cost of the regatta is $130 per boat. Junior sailors 25 or under can participate for $85 per boat. This includes trophies for the top 5 finishers and crew, plus breakfast and lunch both days for skipper and crew. If there is a 3rd crew or other person, the cost for extra breakfasts and lunches is $25.
· Free beer throughout the weekend
· Payment is by cash or check.
· For Saturday night there will be a roast beef dinner at the LFSC dining room. Let us know before Friday September 15 if you don’t eat beef. Cost per dinner is $25.
Rules
· The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing with a few exceptions. Penalties will be 360 turns unless there is boat contact. With contact a 720 turn is required.
· Please settle protests on the course. If you file a protest, you need to announce the protest to the race committee at the end of the race, and file a written protest citing applicable rules within 45 minutes of the completion of racing for the day.
· Any changes in times or other information will be posted on the official antique chalkboard.
Friday Arrival
· The club grounds will be open from 4-8PM on Friday the 13th for set up and snacks. Let us know if you will be arriving at another time.
Mooring
· We will have a few boat lifts available first come, first serve
· We have a hoist and a ramp for other boats to dry sail
Housing

Sailing is an activity that has an inherent risk of damage and injury. Competitors in this event are participating entirely at their own risk. See RRS 3, Decision to Race.
The race organizers (organizing authority, race committee, protest committee, host club, sponsors, or any other organization or official) will not be responsible for damage to any boat or other property or injury to any competitor, including death, sustained as a result of participation in this event. By participating in this event, each competitor agrees to release the race organizers from any and all liability associated with such competitor’s participation in this event to the fullest extent permitted by law.
