Journey to the New Frontier
September 20 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm PDT
Celebrate 175 years of California statehood with a breezy train ride through the redwoods aboard an authentically preserved train!
Roaring Camp’s steam engines are among the oldest and most authentically preserved narrow-gauge steam engines providing regularly scheduled passenger service in America. Start your visit with a delicious barbecue picnic lunch. Afterwards, travel over trestles, through towering redwood groves and up a winding narrow-gauge grade to the summit of Bear Mountain as conductors narrate the history of Roaring Camp, the railroad and the forest. Relax among the redwoods, explore the frontier town, go on a nature walk and more.
This is a kid-friendly event, so bring the whole family!
