There is now an estimated average of 70 kg of plastic litter on every square kilometre of the floor of the ocean (Eunomia)
Help us stem the tide of plastic pollution and join our beach clean combined with survey of the marine litter we find, this will help the Marine Conservation Society quantify the scale of the issue around the coastline of Britain and campaign for positive change in an effective, evidence-based way.
We will meet in the car park at Fort Brackenbury, Cliff Road, Felixstowe: what3words: ///olive.soft.stews
Bags, sticks and hoops will be available. You are welcome to bring your own equipment if you prefer, and please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit grubby.
This is a joint activity between Litter-Free Felixstowe and the Greenprint Forum, combining direct action with citizen science, as part of our ongoing campaign #PlasticAction
Please register so that we know who and how many to expect.
