Celebrate the 1 Line extension to Federal Way

Opening day schedule

Ribbon cutting (9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.)

Join us at Federal Way Downtown Station starting at 9:30 a.m. to kick off a fun day full of special events. FW Black Collective will host a street fair featuring live music and performances, food trucks, community partners and kids activities. Following speeches from community leaders, we'll cut the ribbon to celebrate the official opening of the three new stations and welcome passengers on board for the first time around 11 a.m.

Community events (11 a.m. – 3 p.m.)

When trains start running around 11 a.m., riders will be greeted by community events at each of the three new stations, where you'll find food trucks, giveaways, live performances, community resources and children's programming.
