WHAT IS ACROYOGA?
Acroyoga is a joyful fusion of yoga, gymnastics, and circus acrobatics. While this can sound intimidating; acroyoga is a play-based, recreational practice where people of all ages and abilities can come together to support each other in taking on new challenges!

WHAT IS FALL INTO ACRO?
Taking place by the new pavilion at Gulley Park every Wednesday evenings September 24th - October 15th from 5:30-7:30pm, this accessible class series will focus on teaching the foundations of acroyoga by exploring stationary postures, counter balances, and short routines (or “flows”). Following each class we will have a "jam"; an unstructured but supervised and supported play time, where anyone can practice what was learned that day or try something new!

WHAT WILL THE CLASSES LOOK LIKE?
During each class, I will lead groups through a series of physical warm ups, creative group games, and communication exercises. Following this, I offer a combination of demonstrations, verbal explanations, and experiential learning opportunities to facilitate students in exploring new ways to connect to themselves and others; to creatively express themselves through yoga, dance, and partner acrobatics; and to practice open, kind, and direct communication with others. In this way, acroyoga won’t just be teaching people “cool circus tricks” that they can do, it will also increase their capacity to connect and create with others in a more supported, authentic, and community based way.
