Wild Service Festival: SCRAP TALKS: Dom Barry – Creating Trash Free Trails

In this SCRAP Talk join Dom Barry Ambassador to hear more about the not-for-profit's pioneering research and how you can contribute to help protect the wild places you love!

Trash Free Trails (TFT) is a unique not-for-profit organisation that’s on a mission to (re)connect people with nature through the simple yet meaningful act of removing trash from places they love. Founded in 2019, over 5,000 of their volunteers have removed and surveyed over half a million items of rubbish. Alongside their first-of-its-kind research into the impacts of single-use pollution, TFT spread their mission through education, events, and policy campaigning.

Dom Barry is a longstanding member of the dynamic Trash Free Trails 'A-TEAM' - a cohort of volunteer Ambassadors helping communities protect the places they ride, run and roam and bringing communities together along the way.

This event is part of the Wild Service Festival, a combination of free and paid events encompassing visual poetry, music, spoken word, talks, and workshops, the Wild Service Festival celebrates the creative and practical ways we can simultaneously reconnect with and become better guardians of nature, while improving our well-being through the power of participation.

Nature is suffering, and so are we. ‘Wild Service’ – the visionary concept and book crafted by the Right to Roam campaign – argues that humanity’s loss and nature’s need are two sides of the same story. It calls for mass reconnection to the land and a commitment to its restoration.
