Mariia Petrovska - Benefit Concert for Ukraine

Mariia Petrovska is a charismatic bandura player and singer, and one of the rising stars of Ukrainian music. She combines a complete mastery of the bandura (a traditional Ukrainian instrument) with a pure, emotive voice, making Ukrainian traditional music sound utterly fresh and contemporary. Mariia has won multiple all-Ukrainian and international bandurist competitions in Ukraine. This concert is organised by Folk Inspiration as a partnership event with Invisible Visible, a new exhibition by Ukrainian photographer Natalia Sharomova and the Ukrainian Art Group at Creative Response at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham. Proceeds from the concert will be donated to charities supporting Ukrainian people in the UK and Ukraine.
