Anna’s Hummingbird Jazz is back. After a sold out first show, we are delighted to invite you to another intimate evening of beautiful international jazz at Birdies.
Settle in for a relaxed and atmospheric night of international/European jazz, led by vocalist Anna Stewart and joined by two exceptional musicians.
✨ Anna Stewart is a versatile jazz singer with a classical background, known for her warm, expressive voice and her love of music that is both interesting and beautiful. Her performances often draw on French and Spanish repertoire, with improvisation and scatting at the heart of her jazz style.
✨ She is joined by Volodymyr Vasylenko, one of only a small number of Ukrainian musicians specialising in jazz accordion. His playing combines technical brilliance with deep musical sensitivity, creating a truly distinctive sound.
✨ Completing the trio is Martin Pyne, a composer and improviser whose work spans jazz, free improvisation and contemporary dance. Performing on percussion, he brings texture, subtlety and rhythmic depth to the music.
Expect lyrical vocals, expressive musicianship and a warm, welcoming jazz atmosphere, perfect for settling in with great food and drinks.
