Write to Publish: Passing the Gourd with Art Goodtimes

Meet Art Goodtimes, poet and director for the Telluride Institute’s Talking Gourd Poetry Program, as he leads a Passing the Gourd sharing circle. The practice is meant to create an emotionally safe and secure platform for the spoken word, story, poem or song, restructuring the traditional “open mic” poetry reading into a peer-to-peer interaction in lieu of the more traditional top-down performer-audience relationship. Bring a poem, story or song to share (your own work or a favorite author's work).
