Thank you all SO much for the support at our last hygiene drive in July! Community members have been so grateful to receive these items. We meet new people during every distribution, and the need for these hygiene items has been consistent. We’ve gone through the majority of the prior donations, and there are a few items that we’ve restocked multiple times since then with our own funds and further community support. So we are holding another drive to get stocked up on some of these high priority needs!
The top items that folks need right now are:
Sunscreen (the higher the SPF the better)
Deodorant
Toothpaste
Bug spray
Foot powder
Hand sanitizer
Drawstring bags/duffel bags/small backpacks (to carry these items in!)
In addition to the above priority items we will take any hygiene donations, and they will be distributed throughout the month/until we run out!
Donations can be brought to New Story Counseling (1330 23rd st, S, Fargo) on Friday September 12th from 12-3:30pm on the main floor! New Story Counseling will only be accepting donations for this drive on the 12th! They also have a plastic bag donation box if you’ve got a stash of grocery bags hiding in your cabinets!
