Our October tasting will take us to the rolling hills of southwestern France as we explore 2019 Côtes de Bordeaux wines. Often overlooked beside their famous Left Bank cousins, these Right Bank appellations offer remarkable value and depth — rich, Merlot-dominant blends with soft tannins, ripe fruit, and an unmistakable sense of place.
The 2019 vintage was exceptional across Bordeaux. A warm, sunny growing season yielded wines that are both powerful and elegant — showing lush blackberry and plum flavors, balanced acidity, and a beautiful freshness that will carry them gracefully for years. In the Côtes de Bordeaux, the wines from this vintage shine with accessible charm and expressive fruit, making them a joy to taste even in their youth.
Join us as we pour and compare several examples from this standout year. This tasting should rival our amazing white wine tasting we had last month. Expect supple reds, lively conversation, and the warmth of good company — all the ingredients for a perfect autumn evening.
