Reduce, Remove, Restore (Part 2)

Join us for a pint and the second conversation in a three-part series about Cape Cod water quality concerns!

Amy Lowell (Town of Falmouth) and Ken Foreman (Marine Biological Laboratory) will talk about the future of sewer expansion in Falmouth and the expected impacts on local watersheds. Amy will address the Town’s plans to expand the sewer system and construct an outfall for treated wastewater discharge. Ken will introduce his study of the ecosystem’s response to sewering, which addresses how long it might take ponds to recover from long term nitrogen loading.

The conversation will start at 5:30pm and last about an hour. Come curious for a Q&A and a chance to chat with the researchers and fellow nature enthusiasts after the event!
