Oncology Yoga Workshop for Yoga Instructors and Healthcare Professionals

The worldwide cancer survivor population is large and growing. They have specific challenges and needs, physically, mentally and emotionally. We explore why Oncology Yoga is different in looking at science and research relating to Cancer and Yoga. This evidence-based yoga method is specifically designed to support your yoga student in navigating the challenges they face after a cancer diagnosis. Learn how this comprehensive practice that matches breath and movement can mitigate the short- and long-term side effects of cancer and its treatments.

Learning Outcomes:
* Obtain a deeper understanding about Cancer, the cause, the treatments and their side effects
* Obtain a deeper understanding of science and research in Yoga and exploring potential risks
* Obtain a deeper understanding of how Yoga assists someone that has been touched by Cancer through the example of a class as ‘someone touched by cancer’
