Low-Till Systems and Soil Health Workshop with Viva Farms

Join Viva Farms, Steel Wheel Farm, Full Heart Farm, and WSU Puyallup for a conversation about low and no-till theory, production systems, equipment, and soil health practices. Hear from farmers and researchers at multiple scales. Visiting two local farms, attendees will have a chance to see low-till systems at multiple scales and hear about recent tillage and soil health research at WSU and around the region.

Note that this workshop will begin at Steel Wheel Farm (not Viva Farms King County) and attendees are responsible for their own transportation to Full Heart Farm. Carpooling is encouraged!

Únase a Viva Farms, Steel Wheel Farm, Full Heart Farm y WSU Puyallup en un taller práctico sobre la teoría y aplicación de la labranza mínima y sin labranza. Conversaremos sobre sistemas de producción, equipos y prácticas que promueven la salud del suelo, con la participación de agricultores e investigadores de distintas escalas.

El recorrido incluirá visitas a dos granjas locales, donde podrá observar diferentes enfoques de labranza mínima y conocer las investigaciones más recientes de la WSU y de la región.Nota importante: El taller iniciará en Steel Wheel Farm (no en Viva Farms King County). Los asistentes deberán organizar su propio transporte hacia Full Heart Farm. ¡Se recomienda compartir vehículo!
