Our last walk of the year! (with a Christmas theme!)
Falkirk's Flatlands, Tombs and Pineapples!
This is your chance to explore the amazing history of Airth and Dunmore with the ranger service as your guide.
The Pineapple, Elphinstone tower and graveyard, Dunmore village and The hermits cave. We will stop off for special treat of tea and homemade cakes thanks to the ladies of Dunmore village. (The cakes are amazing!)
The walk starts at The Pineapple and as well as the amazing historic sites we will walk down through the majestic avenue of Giant Redwood trees before heading down to the Forth. A fantastic walk with really interesting history, sea views and fresh air.
Please note there is a charge of £8 for this walk which is payable to the rangers in cash on the day.
The paths are flat but may be muddy. An easy walk of around 4 miles. Wear sturdy boots and dress for the weather. (xmas jumpers optional!)
We will also be making our Falkirk Explored Christmas Reel on the day so hopefully you will join in at the end of the walk.
