We’re excited to welcome our SU406 Girl Scouts and families to the Glen Tana Conservation Area along the Little Spokane River for a very special planting event.
Together with Inland Northwest Land Conservancy staff, we’ll start to transform an old cattle grazing field near the river into a vibrant corridor of native plants that will restore wildlife habitat, strengthen ecosystem function, and support the health of the river. Every plant that goes into the ground is part of a lasting legacy for the land and water. Come ready to roll up your sleeves, enjoy the scenery, and celebrate the impact we’re making together.
We'll meet at the Waikiki Springs trailhead for a brief information talk before hiking to the work site.
Please note that the small parking lot requires a Discovery Pass, but the surrounding streets do not.
Please bring weather-appropriate layers/clothing, sturdy boots, work gloves if you have them, and a refillable water bottle. Shovels, other digging tools, and work gloves to borrow will be provided. The Service Unit will also provide light snacks.
All attending must register through the following INLC link-
