Unpaid carers are invited to join artist Louise Gorst and Care for the Carers Artist in Residence Alison Cotton to spend a relaxing day in a small friendly group at the Bale House in Hastings Country Park. Weather permitting, we will take a short stroll to collect material, to use in monoprinting on paper and cloth, then spend time learning some techniques to create beautiful images and collaborate on a large artwork.
During our Carers' Arts in Nature Project, we have explored the landscape and history of the High Weald. Here at Hastings, the sandstone of the High Weald reaches the coast.
All materials, refreshments and lunch are provided. Thanks to our funders, this event is free for unpaid carers.
