🚀✨ It’s a cosmic collision of funk royalty as The Motet reimagines Jamiroquai in a four-night, four-city Halloween run. Take a dive into the acid-jazz universe of Jamiroquai as reworked with The Motet’s signature blend of space-age swagger, deep-pocket grooves, and fearless improvisation. A special run that'll find The Motet at their most playful, inventive, and interstellar. With Special Guest: Michael Wilbur of Moon Hooch
The Motet
The Motet entered a thrilling new chapter, and they’re bringing the funk harder than ever. With powerhouse vocalist Sarah Clarke now front and center, the long-running Colorado six-piece has been lighting up stages across the country, turning every show into a full-on dance party. They always deliver high-energy sets packed with deep grooves, soaring soul, and electrifying talk box solos from keyboardist Joey Porter. Their 2024 album Love Time marked a new era of genre-blending brilliance, combining funk, soul, disco, and psychedelic textures with a fresh sense of joy and chemistry. With a legacy of festival mainstages, headlining Red Rocks seven times, and a fanbase that shows up ready to move, The Motet proves that after a quarter of a century, evolution can still sound like a party — and if you're on the floor, you're part of the magic.
Michael Wilbur
Michael Wilbur, best known as the explosive saxophonist and founding member of Moon Hooch, steps into his own sonic universe with a solo project that’s just as wild, heartfelt, and unpredictable as his work with the band that coined the term “cave music.” Blending jazz, punk energy, electronic textures, and soul-baring songwriting, Wilbur pushes the boundaries of what a horn-led project can be. Whether he's looping sax riffs into hypnotic grooves, layering introspective vocals, or diving into full-blown sonic freakouts, his music feels like a raw transmission from the heart — unfiltered, genreless, and electric. Onstage, he’s a one-man force of nature, channeling his classical training, Brooklyn street busking roots, and relentless creative spirit into performances that are as cathartic as they are celebratory. With his solo work, Wilbur invites listeners into a deeply personal yet wildly imaginative world — one where emotion, experimentation, and musical freedom collide.
