Sam Grisman Project isn’t just a band — it’s a celebration of friendship, legacy, and the joy of making music with the people you love. Led by bassist and songwriter Sam Grisman, son of acoustic pioneer David “Dawg” Grisman, the group pays heartfelt tribute to the timeless sounds of Dawg and his longtime collaborator Jerry Garcia — while also blazing their own inspired trail.
With a rotating cast of rootsy ringleaders like Ric Robertson, Aaron Lipp, and Chris “Hollywood” English, the Sam Grisman Project brings acoustic jams, old-school spirit, and fresh energy to the stage. It’s music born from memory, steeped in love, and made to be shared — whether reimagining a classic Garcia/Grisman tune or diving into their own original material.
