What is a Rorate Mass?
A Rorate Mass is a beautiful traditional pre-dawn candlelight Mass celebrated during Advent to honor the Virgin Mary.

🕯️ The liturgy begins in darkness, illuminated only by candles. As the sun rises, the church slowly brightens—symbolizing the coming of Christ, the Light of the World.

The name comes from the opening words of the Latin Introit: “Rorate caeli desuper” — “Drop down dew, O heavens, from above.”
